The highly acclaimed author of "Watching Edie" returns with a new novel of dark psychological suspense that explores how those closest to us have the most to hide...
When Clara's boyfriend, Luke, disappears, everyone believes that he's left her, but Clara thinks she knows the truth. Recent evidence suggests that Luke had a stalker, and Clara worries that he's been kidnapped. Then Luke's older sister, Emma, who vanished twenty years ago, suddenly reappears.
Emma wants to help Clara with her search for Luke, but she refuses to talk about what happened--even though it nearly destroyed her family when she vanished. And the deeper Clara digs into Luke's mysterious disappearance, the more convinced she is that the two incidents are connected.

MY REVIEW
I just love it when I come across a thriller that I can't figure out where the story is going until near the very end. This was one of those books for me. We follow Clara as she discovers that her boyfriend Luke has disappeared but there may be more to his story than meets the eye. In this story, we also follow the story of Hannah who, as a kid, was very, for want of a better word, evil - or that is what she comes across as being. What I wasn't sure of until nearer the end was how or whether the two stories came together. I did not expect the ending that came along!
This book kept me at the edge of my seat all the way through and would highly recommend to all those who loves a good thriller that has a surprising twisted ending and a very interesting array of characters.
